Beauty tips for you.
On days that I don’t have to rush out for work, green tea will be the first drink in the morning as it helps to detox and apparently, according to the a lot of people and the internet, it helps to prevent liver damage, which means green tea is pretty much good? Oh, it also says that green tea is an excellent source of antioxidants and therefore, it is good for your skin! YAY
Green Tea Steam Facial
All you need is a Big Mug and a bag of Green Tea!
I’ve taken to sipping a huge mug of green tea in the some mornings, and putting my face above it, right after I pour in the hot water so that the steam gets all up in my pores. Do this before you put any makeup on, and cleanse your face after with a splash of cold water.
The steam will open up your pores, and make your face very happy, and the green tea scent will work to calm down you and your anxieties.
I always have doubts in a toner, because some say it’s good for your skin while the other says otherwise. I have been using Shiseido’s softener, which claims to be gentler on the skin. Until I came across an article saying how green tea natural toner is more refreshing and better for your skin, so I've change to this natural toner which I love it so much now!
All you need is a bag of green tea and a clean spray bottle!
All you need is a bag of green tea and a clean spray bottle!
Brew the green tea in a small amount of hot water; pour away the first brewed as I believe it contains some preservatives. After brewing it for the second time, set it aside to cool down first before pouring it into the spray bottle and you’re done!
I like to keep mine in the fridge because I like how the cool green tea feels very soothing on my skin. Especially Singapore’s weather is so warm and humid.
You can add some sort of essential oil too but please know that this is optional!
Tips:
- If you’re having breakouts issues, go for some tea tree oil!
- If your skin is oily, try peppermint or rosemary!
I love how green tea toner is so much more light and fresh! Furthermore, it gives off this nice refreshing green tea smell. I love it so much! I always looked forward to spraying this toner, till a point where my dad thought I’m addicted to it. Haha.
This is a classic! I’ve pretty much accepted my eye bags at this point but it doesn’t mean I can’t do something to help it right? Haha.
This green tea trick really does help to reduce puffiness and darkness under my eyes temporarily. Remember that you have just brewed your green tea to make toner? Don’t waste it! Put the tea bags on a small plate; dump it in the fridge and head to bed!
You’ll wake up the next day with chilled and nice tea bag mask, all you need is to wake up, walk to the fridge, take it out, walk back to your bed and put them on your eyes. You deserve another good 20-30 minutes of beauty sleep before you start to get ready for work!
If you were to notice, all you need is green tea bags (any tea brands), which is extremely affordable! You can get these spray bottles in Daiso, these are cheap but I swear by it. It’s super good. These hacks are not solely meant for girls, boys please take care of your face too. Furthermore, these are cheap, convenient and easy.
