Sharing: Tips for Interview
December 15, 2015
Today, I went for an interview simply because I don’t want
to be in my current workplace, once my bond is over. Okay I have to be clear on
this, I love my job I really do and if you were to ask me about my work. I am
always proud of it. But sometimes at work, it isn’t just the work that makes
you want to work hard for. The surroundings and people, sadly, is sometimes the
cause of you leaving.
I wasn’t really looking for a job because I wanted a rest
after the bond and focus on my studies, however I came across this job offering
that got me really excited for it. I took an off day for it and I have to prepare a Powerpoint
slide on “About me” and present it to them during the interview. Presentation
feels comfortable because I’ve been doing presentation in all my polytechnic
days.
I don’t claim to be a very professional interviewee but
these are tips that I use and would love to share it with you.
Tips for interview:
- Always be well-dressed because first impression is very important
- While waiting for the interviewer, try not to use your phone
- Be patient and at least have some manners to really wait, instead of using phone.
- Instead of being all nervous, be excited about it.
- If the job doesn’t excite you, ask yourself “why are you even going for it?”
- Read about the company or at least know about the company first
- This will not let you be clueless about them
- And I believe you should be interested in the company you’re going for right?
- Set your charms, smile as wide as possible and be confident!
I always had a great time during interview, even thou before
going in I am super nervous and would text almost everyone just to talk
nonsense to talk to me. I think it went well, but I am not sure if I am short-listed
for the second round of interview. They say they will update me about it on the
29Dec2015, I’ll update this place on it again!
Goodnight everyone!
